About Us
Anna Maes' Flowers Cattery was started in 2007 after a long time love for Peterbald's became something I desired to share. After a long career of breeding Parrots, and a successful business in European bred Great Danes, my venture in to my own cattery has been one of my favorites. Nestled on 22 acres that border the Daniel Boone Conservation Forest in central Missouri, my husband and I have created our dream home and made a welcome haven for animal rescue and rehabilitation, as well as breeding and sharing our favorite breeds with others. Shortly before I started the cattery my mother and best friend passed away after a long battle with ovarian cancer. My mother, Anna Mae, always supported me 100% in my love for animals and this business, behind me on each of my endeavors. All of our cats are named after flowers, Anna Maes' favorites, which is how we got the name Anne Maes Flowers Cattery.

Health of our family... All of our kittens are PCR tested prior to leaving our home. Why use PCR to detect infectious disease of dogs and cats? Molecular testing using PCR (polymerase chain Reaction) has revolutionized the way veterinarians, researchers, zoos and animal care facilities maintain health and obtain disease data. The sensitivity, specificity and speed with which pathogens are identified by PCR enable diagnostics, research and monitoring possibilities unavailable using other techniques. Molecular techniques represent a dramatically effective tool for the diagnosis of disease in dogs, cats and other animals . In PCR testing, nucleic acid -DNA or RNA - is isolated from the specimen, then amplified (after an extra reverse transcription step in the case of RNA) using highly specific primers complimentary to known target pathogen sequences. References and controls are run simultaneously; internal controls monitor extractions and PCR efficiency. Amplified sequences are visualized and recorded using state-of-the-art protocols and instrumentation. For more information on PCR testing, please visit http://www.zoologix.com All kittens are vet checked and TICA Registered, all vaccinations will be up to date. PCR testing will be done on all litters before leaving. A deposit required to hold any kitten.
